A Global Day of Unity and Giving

In this time of uncertainty, there’s a fundamental truth that gives us hope – that together we can do extraordinary things. Over the past several months, the world has been coming together to help out, give back and heal. Whether that’s through donations, celebrating essential workers or reaching out to a neighbor in need, generosity has been helping the entire world get through this pandemic. Together.

Today, the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation is participating in Giving Tuesday, the global day of unity and giving. Our organization cultivates impactful communities where women are inspired to connect, lead, grow and serve. Alpha Chi Omega is committed to supporting our members and adapting to the needs of today. We’re creating virtual programs and opportunities for all members, providing critical grants to sisters struggling from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and empowering women to be their authentic selves. But we can’t do this without you!

This Giving Tuesday, we’re raising money for three funds that directly impact our sisters:

  • Alpha Chi Scholars Fund: Scholarship fund that provides merit-based aid for collegiate and alumnae members
  • Member Assistance Fund: Member assistance fund that provides aid to collegiate and alumnae members facing financial difficulty due to life-changing circumstances
  • Strong. Women.® Fund: Annual fund that gives us flexibility and agility to respond to the greatest needs of the Fraternity and today’s members

Suzanne Cobb (Epsilon, University of Southern California) serves as the chair of the Member Assistance Committee and reflects on the impact that member assistance grants have had on sisters during the pandemic:

“I have been so lucky to serve on the Member Assistance Committee. The fact that there is a way for our members to substantially help our sisters through this crazy COVID year has really strengthened my commitment to Alpha Chi Omega. The member assistance grants have been in place for many years and have impacted many sisters’ lives before. But this year, Alpha Chi Omega was able to help so many who were struggling. From a collegian whose campus housing closed from one week to the next, to women who went home for spring break and were not allowed back to their houses, to alumnae who were sent home from work with no return dates, our Foundation reached out with both hands to give impactful help to over 100 sisters.”
