Alpha Chi Omega provides everlasting connections with women who will be there for you through the ups and downs, the big and small moments. Through the support of sisters, we are empowered to live as real, strong women every day. On this International Women’s Day, we share just a few stories of sisterhood and invite you to share your own!
Katie Tarr (Alpha Nu, University of Missouri)
“Erin Wilkerson has been one of many but the best lasting connection made through AXΩ. We were in the same new member class and initiated together, became roommates and inseparable best friends. I moved to Ann Arbor, MI after college and was not loving my life choice. She was the one who reminded me that AXΩ was always there for us. She encouraged me to volunteer with Theta chapter and was my #1 cheerleader as I became the chapter advisor. She is one (of a few) examples I use when I talk to Theta chapter about why AXΩ is for life. It’s been 10 years since we met, and we will be celebrating our friendiversary with her wedding and me standing up as her matron of honor.”
Zoe Cawthon (Kappa Psi, Western Oregon University)
“I met one of my best friends at bid day, and since then we’ve been inseparable. We got ready for initiation together, served on exec together, went to Leadership Academy together, and hung out after every single chapter and new member meeting. Even now after graduating, she’s one of the only people who I can be completely myself with. I know that if I’m having a hard day, she’ll build me up, and when I’m doing great, she’ll celebrate my wins with me. I love all my sisters and have made so many connections that I could talk for hours, but mine and Kayla’s is probably my favorite.”
Corie A. DiPhilippo (Gamma Pi, University of Tampa)
“After having my second son (15 months apart) I was diagnosed with postpartum depression. One of my sisters reached out to see how I was doing not knowing I was recently diagnosed. After telling her what was going on, a couple days later I received a Starbucks gift card in my email. It was super sweet and really made a huge difference!”
2012 Convention Pages
Seven of the women who served as pages at the 2012 National Convention caught up virtually in February. These sisters are all from different chapters but celebrated the everlasting connection they made in St. Louis nine year ago!
